Victory Fellowship first opened its doors with an Easter Service, April 12, 1998. Located in Torrance, California, Victory was initially led by Senior Pastor Scott Kawamura and Associate Pastor Rick Matsuda as a church plant of Cerritos Baptist Church.
In its early days, Victory rented space from another church to conduct services. In March of 2003, Victory accepted full responsibility for renting the property at 4030 Spencer Street.
In the Spring of 2005, with Pastor Scott moving back to Sacramento, Rick Matsuda took the role of Senior Pastor of Victory.
In May 2009, Dan Wong joined our staff as the Associate Pastor.
In Fall 2009, with the continued growth of the congregation, it became necessary to holding two Sunday services.
In January 2011, Earl Pyo joined our staff as the Associate Worship Pastor.
With the additional staff, Victory continues to grow and minister to the needs of friends and visitors from the South Bay and beyond.
Victory meets Sundays at 9:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. Worship is contemporary and sermons are topical with relevant application and instruction drawn from God’s word.
